Skyler Perryman
Growing up in Dallas, Texas, it wasn't a specific building that first drew Skyler to architecture, but rather his high school architecture classroom. That early spark for technical precision followed him to Fayetteville, where he joined the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design. During his time at the University of Arkansas, his perspective on the built environment expanded far beyond the studio walls. From spending five months immersed in uniquely Roman restoration to exploring the exhibits of Milan Design Week, the Venice Biennale, ICFF, and the Stockholm Furniture Fair, Skyler developed a firm belief that design is a universal language, uniquely cultivated by the cultures and societies surrounding it.
Skyler views the world through a lens of intentionality, a trait sharpened by his background in private and commercial automotive photography. He is fascinated by how things work, and why. For Skyler, great design exists on a spectrum; it can be bold and demand attention, or it can be subtle, living completely unnoticed while functioning perfectly. This obsession with the "why" behind the "what" is what eventually led him to the team at STOKE.
Attracted to STOKE’s tight-knit culture and their commitment to being a design-focused firm, Skyler believes that architecture is a collaborative climb. He is a firm believer that the people you surround yourself with are the ones who ultimately build you up.
When he isn’t at the office, Skyler is likely still creating. He spends his time coding apps, designing custom lamps, and 3D printing. If he’s not behind a screen or a camera, you can find him building niche communities, working on anything with a motor, or out on the trails mountain biking, riding a motorcycle, or cruising on a fixed-gear bike.
